Founder, Action for Congo
Originally from Bandundu, Democratic Republic of Congo, and now based in the Washington, DC area, Nils Kinuani is a dedicated human rights advocate and community leader with extensive experience in immigration policy and grassroots organizing.
As Federal Policy Manager for African Communities Together, Nils develops and implements immigration policy initiatives while providing direct legal immigration services to African immigrant communities. In this role, he advocates for policy reforms at the federal level and ensures that African voices are represented in national immigration debates.
Nils serves as Immigration Coordinator and Board Director for the Congolese Community of Washington Metropolitan (CCWM), where he leads advocacy efforts for immigrants' rights and coordinates community support services. Committed to empowering his community through education, Nils volunteers as an ESL instructor at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Virginia, where he teaches English language skills to adult immigrant students, helping them navigate their new lives in America.
Through his multifaceted work spanning policy advocacy, direct services, and community education, Nils bridges the gap between grassroots community needs and federal policy solutions, making him a vital voice in advancing immigrant rights and building stronger diaspora communities.
