On September 19-20, 2025, Congolese Diaspora Impact Strategies hosted the fourth edition of the Congolese Diaspora Impact Summit titled “Congo in a New Era of Global Competition” in Washington, DC.

The summit explored the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s (DRC) strategic importance in the technology and energy transition, emerging geopolitical alignments, and new pathways for inclusive, sustainable economic development. CDIS has become a flagship convening space for the Congolese diaspora and key allies to engage in forward-looking, actionable dialogue around identifying strategies and frameworks to strengthen the DRC’s economic and human potential.
